Eat a solid meal the day of your appointment and stay hydrated, and make sure to steer clear of alcohol and blood thinners the day before. Feel free to bring snacks and a drink to your appointment, or take advantage of the water, tea, and coffee we offer at the shop. Make sure you're wearing something comfortable as well, while keeping your tattoo placement in mind (e.g. if you're getting a thigh tattoo, wear shorts).

It is required by Illinois state law that clients provide a VALID ID in order to get tattooed. Acceptable forms of IDs are a valid passport, state ID, or driver's license. It must be the physical copy, we cannot accept pictures or photocopies of your ID.

Yes! You are allowed a maximum of two guests. Keep in mind it is a tight space. Please be respectful, if at any point your guests are affecting my ability to tattoo they will be asked to leave
-
No. Minors cannot be tattooed regardless of consent in the state of Illinois.
-
Yes, as long as the scars are fully healed (at least 1 year old). Depending on the scar and your skin, it may affect how your tattoo heals and touchups may be needed but it varies person to person.
-
Can I use numbing cream? As long as you give me a heads up, yes! Keep in mind that in some cases, numbing cream can affect your skin and make it harder to tattoo, and may affect how your tattoo heals. Touchups may be needed, but it varies from person to person.
In order for numbing cream to be most effective, apply a thick, generous layer to the area an hour before your appointment and wrap it up tightly in saran wrap. Keep it on until you arrive at the studio and I will remove it for you before tattooing.

For any custom work I will send only ONE rough sketch prior to our appointment (2-5 days before hand). I will NOT send sketches for designs that don’t require any customization, such as: pre-made designs, pop-culture imagery, handwriting/script, etc… I am often drawing several pieces simultaneously. For that reason final designs will not be seen until the day of.
-
After a rough sketch has been sent, please provide any adjustments that need to be made. Those will be done prior, but NOT seen until the appointment time.
The day of, please thoroughly look at the design, if any changes need to be made we can do so BEFORE starting.
Major design changes may need to be rescheduled, and will require another deposit. -
No, I do not draw designs unless you have an appointment with me.
-
I charge based on an hourly rate of $180/hr for any custom pieces.
The price of the tattoo is going to depend on the amount of time taken to complete the tattoo which is affected by the size, placement, and the amount of detail in the design.
If you have a specific budget in mind please let me know when scheduling so I can make sure to work within your budget. Flash pieces will be priced by the piece but may vary depending on the size and placement of the tattoo. -
Tattoos are a luxury service, and the cost of supplies is also very high as many items are one time use and disposable.
-
Minor adjustments typically do not affect price, but drastic changes from what is listed in your appointment submission form could change the cost, and may require that we reschedule depending on time constraints. I follow the information in your submission form very closely, so it is the client's responsibility to be clear on what they want, otherwise any additional costs incurred due to changes in design are on the client.
-
A deposit is a $50 NON-DEDUCTIBLE, NON-REFUNDABLE payment for the tattoo appointment. With a deposit your agreed upon date & time will be set.
-
Leaving a deposit shows that you are TRULY interested about getting the tattoo, and holds the chosen date & time for you. It ensures some payment for the work I put in prior to our appointment, and lessens my financial blow in the case of a last-minute cancellation or no-show.
-
I can take cash, card, Venmo, or Zelle! There is, however, a 3.0% processing fee to take card payments.
-
YES! Tattooing is a service, however tips are never expected but, always appreciated.
Tipping tells me you enjoyed your experience and helps me cover extra costs I don’t normally spend on to enhance your shop experiences.
* Not tipping won’t affect your ability to schedule again *
How do I take care of my tattoo?
• Leave Derm Shield bandage on a minimum of 24hrs or up to 5 days.
• If using plastic wrap, remove after 2-4 hours. Then wash tattoo thoroughly with UNSCENTED ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP and warm water. (I recommend: Dial Gold)
• Clean your tattoo with the unscented soap 2-3 times a day. Apply a thin layer of aftercare product of your choice.
• You may use a unscented Lotion, Aquaphor, or a tattoo ointment, one that does NOT irritate your skin. Always apply ointment with clean hands.
• Your tattoo will take 2-3 weeks to heal. During this time do NOT pick or scratch your tattoo. Let whatever peels off to fall off freely and naturally.
• Avoid submerging/soaking your tattoo, especially in swimming pools, hot tubs, or any natural occurring body of water (Oceans, Rivers or Lakes) while your tattoo is healing.
• Avoid direct sunlight or tanning during the healing process. Be sure to ALWAYS use SPF during & after the healing process to prevent fading.
What if my tattoo needs to be touched-up?
For tattoos, that were healed properly I will offer ONE free touch-up within 6 months of receiving the tattoo
If the tattoo did NOT heal properly due to improper aftercare, you are getting the touch up after 6 months of receiving the tattoo, or it is NOT the first touch-up, I will charge a $60 touch-up fee.
Tattoo placement will affect the healing process tattoos. Areas such as: the hands, feet, elbows or knees, are more difficult to heal, so touch ups are to be expected.
Any major touch-ups, like the tattoo needing to be completely re-done at your request. My normal hourly rate will be used.
